i had the same dilema with my xterra when i first built it i had the subs stacked on an angle but opposite of yours instead of the bottom being angled out i had the top one angled out and when i changed it out to stacked i actually went down by a full db with some work in the box i got it back but was thinking about putting it back the way that it was. how big is the inside of your box and port size. my enclosure is also not square but a polyhydron on the top and more or less square on the botttom, box size 27 cuft and port 461 sqin freq 57-61hz depending where i am.

Well my box is tiny lol Around 16.4 cuft and tuned to 68hz so far ...
Port is around 300 x 840mm and like baffle 75mm long ...
First time in my life im working with fiberglass

nice work for the first time. make sure that it is very very smooth that will help. how are you planning on rounding off the end of the baffle

Dude, all you had to do was resine the box but you did do a good job on the fiberglass.

Build looks good, I would get some 16v batts if your amps can handle them which I'm sure they can, as long as you turn them on with 12v. after bracing and polyester you should see some more db's.

What ive heard these amps are not capable over 15 volts, they go onto protection then ... Thats the reason i never thought to go over 12v system ...

The wood you use is not the best material for enclosure applications It has low density and needs a lot of resin to become solid...You should use MDF boards 30mm or thicker or steel plates if you can...
You should definetely put a brace behind the wall...There should be a hole db in it by using it...
What is the nominal impedance of the subs?
The way i see it the box is good as long as the volume is concerned...You should focus on the thickness and the deadening... How many wires do you run?

Hey
As its low budget build i had to use 1" ply, could find any thicker ply or MDF in the whole country lol Baffle and back wall are 3" rest of it 2" thick
Subs are dual 1's, so running 2 x 4gauge cables per sub (8 gauge just before sub for split).
Latest pic, need a floor mat and door seals now
Next testday will be this saturday i hope

Looks better indeed...I would use another plate in the wall so that the subs are flushed.
I was asking about the number of power wire runs not the speaker wire
How smooth is the box indide?

you want a good gain? instead of thinking of a 45 angle....do a taper behind the subs starting at the baffle extending to about 8" out to meet the rear wall, this will move your wave over to concentrate loading at the center of the rear wall...if its solid and you see a gain then try the other side \_/...kinda like this just not such defined angles

This does't work on Pandas/Marbellas...Already tried it and lost...
But then you can always test and see for yourself...
