hi all... this is my first post. I just found this forum and like what i've read here. hope i can add a little.

in the early 90s fosgate made a sine wave generator that was pretty good. I've been looking for a replacement for years. well, my marchand FG53 sine wave generator was at the door when i came home today. [Blob] i ordered it to help with my install in my trailblazer.

the sine wave generator sweeps from 10hz to 25khz @.01hz resolution below 100hz. the output is 0v to 5v @ .001 resolution. the display has 4 digit on it. the two knobs control the 2nd or 4th number on the display. the 2nd number helps move the freq/volts fast and the 4th digit moves it slow.

im gonna use the FG53 to find tuning freq of the port. BUT, the main reason i got it is to find all the riddling things on my suv. Plates, trunks, lights and other lose panels.

hope others have an input on what things i can use this tool to do.

the trailblazer xlt will have a 13w7 in 4 to 4.5ft3 enclosure tuned to 26 or 27 hertz. IVA-D106, PXA-H100, EQX, PPI2350 and 4chanl PPI.

p.s. i started in car audio"woofer enclosures" in the mid 80's and stopped in 1998. only do it for friends or family now.

you might lose some power handling doing that sub in such a huge box.

also, what's the resistance of the output rated at?
"the output is 0v to 5v @ .001 resolution"

funny thing. no instructions came with it. how to use it is written on the tool itself. i got this from the web site.

Connectors:
Output: 1 heavy duty gold RCA connector.
Power: 3 AA batteries.

Controls:
Frequency: rotary encoder
Level: rotary encoder

Display:
Frequency/level: 4 digit red LED or green LED
Frequency range: green LED Hz/KHz indicator

Specifications:
Frequency range: 10Hz - 25KHz, +/- 0.01%
Output voltage: 0.000 ... 5.000 Volt RMS
Distortion: 0.3% THD+N
Output Impedance: 100 Ohm.
Dimensions: 1.5" x 2.5" x 4.5"

and it only has one rca output. but i think it is better quality then the fosgate unit. i still have the one from fosgate but, the display don't work so from resonance freqencies its no good. i'm not selling nothing this is just information that may help someone. and im excited to have my tool replaced.
