Im running 8 gauge KLM wire for 400w RMS amp is that fine or should I be running 4 gauge?

8 gauge is sufficient for around 30-40 amps...50 amps is pushing it.

It takes a 30A fuse, is that what you mean?

if the amp has a 30A fuse, you should be fine with 8ga wire.
