Im running 8 gauge KLM wire for 400w RMS amp is that fine or should I be running 4 gauge?

8 gauge is sufficient for around 30-40 amps...50 amps is pushing it. How much current does your amp draw? Output doesn't determine what size wire is needed, its based on amp draw. up to 50 amps I say 8 gauge is fine 50-90 4 gauge 100+ 0 gauge --------------------

It takes a 30A fuse, is that what you mean?

if the amp has a 30A fuse, you should be fine with 8ga wire.
