Hello all, I recently tried wiring my 2 ohm Infinity 4" coaxial in series with my 2 ohm Infinity tweeter for my center channel. I want a 4 ohm load since it is operating in mono off the amp. Problem is the 4" coaxial totally loses all bottom and mid end when it is in series with the tweeter. Anyone know if there is a reason for this? Any solutions? Should I wire them in parallel and put a resistor in series with the positive lead? Any tips are appreciated!

Where did you mount the passive crossover for the tweeter in the signal chain? before or after where you tied the wires together? A picture here would help a ton.

Also if you do that, the only frequencies that will be 4 ohm are the frequencies that the speakers share. So basically whatever frequency that tweeter is playing is all that will be at 4 ohms. Everything below that will still be 2 ohm.
