Does anyone know or know where I can find out the color codes for left and right channel positive and negative leads. A friend wants to put in an amp and sub but doesnt want to get a new HU. thanks

I do not recommend runnning a mids/high amp off factory unit. start with the h/u first then suggest an amp. Not to mention, those factory spks hardley way one pound. pop off the panel and look. as far as color code, i need to know what year.Later. Nathan.

Sorry, 05 Frontier....Just disconect one spk, use a AA battery and touch the leads on the spk. If it moves OUT that is correct, just do the same on the other side and you are good to go..I think on Nissan> you have to cut out the factory spk housing, just look first then post back....MAKE SURE IS NOT FACTORY AMPED!!!!!You can look at the harness, if there is any tin foil or any kind of grounding, stop... I will post the interface, if all is well, I still don't recommend highs off factory, Get a nice H/U it's nicer, has more features, on and on, get a radio, hope all is well.

if you are going to use the factory headunit, get a JL cleansweep CL441dsp, and possibly the CL-ssi. or try the Rockford 3sixty, I definitely suggest the 3sixty.2 It's the only real way to go if you want to keep the factory stereo. But, you have to use the volume control on the cleansweep, and leave the headunit volume in a fixed position. we usually just glue it in place so people don't **** up their own systems.

its not up to me if it was i would get the head unit. The only reason my car still has factory is because NOBODY makes a dash kit for my car. My friend has the frontier and jsut bought an amp and sub and wants me to install it for him.
