I currently have a doubleshot from Nolte Audio if you go to their site you can find out about their boxes for the people who dont know...i did an online calculator thing to find out how many cubes my box is...well i got 3.61 cubes in a ported box for both subs...isnt that kinda low for 2 12" L7's? i have a 2002 sentra spec v, the box is kinda big but would it be worth having someone build me another box with more cubes?

3.61 total cubes seem a little small for a ported box but if thats all you can fit. if it sounds odd or something maybe try a sealed box, maybe even with some polyfill. i have seen a lot of boxes that were to small manage to work (not as good as it can be).

I can't imagine an L7 getting any louder than i had them(15"s) in a **** box with a fosgate T1000....it was unbareable and i love loud bass....Seriously, when the windows to YOUR HOUSE are flexing and bending...that **** box sure wasn't hurting...

imo l7 are a waste sealed, based on exp. I think a 12 needs 2.75 (each) the 15 needs 3.75 (each). You can probably vary by -15% without much loss. If you are tuning for 40-45 hz up you can probably go smaller though.

the 12in L7 requires 1.75cuft at minimum so ur just over that. i used to have a 3.5cuft ported box and it was pretty loud.

kicker boxes are pretty loud, here is a pic of 2 15L7's I have, they took up most of the cargo area in my odyssey.

These were the street bass boxes too! I would suggest that you don't seal them. 12's or 15's they do the job! Now I have only 1 in my van. that's all that's need. [Wink]

here is the link if you want to check things out.
