right now i have 2 12 kicker solobaric L7's running off of a ma audio hk897 with 4 gauge power and ground wires, and i just bought the hifonics bxi2006d, i went to an audio shop to talk to them about doing 1/0 gauge, the guy at the shop told me instead of pulling out the 4 gauge wire and trying to fit the 1/0 gauge that i should just run another 4 gauge wire from the battery, to a distribution block that has no fuses, then run 0 gauge from the block to the amp, and he told me to put a 75 amp fuse on each wire, does that sound right, im looking to run this amp ass efficient as possible, thanks in advance

i think you misread what i wrote, he told me to do 2 runs of 4 gauge to a block and then run 0 gauge to the amp, instead of trying to feed 0 gauge through the car and pull out the 4, he said it would be the same thing...bump i need answers fast please

go with the 1/0 gauge from front to back if you can afford it. you won't regret it.

I agree, do it right now, rather than regret it later, if you can afford it... pull 1/0 wire and have a good time!

you are going to use as much space through your firewall with 2 4's as you would with 1 0....might as well do just 1 run at that point...plus you will lose a small amount of voltage through the distro...1 solid run is going to be more efficient...

I would first suggest never talking to anyone at that shop again.... You would get better advice from Best Buy

switch the 4ga over to running from your rear chassi ground point to the front bat-, rather than just getting rid of it.
and run 1/0ga from bat+ to the amp+.

that is the best advice, your chaasis gnd needs to be no less than 4 ga from battery to chassis. alot of people over look this issue, if you can afford it, run 1/0 from the battery to amp. just make sure as D-BASS mentioned, basicly, make sure your grond is as strong as your 12+ in. By the way D-Bass, how in the hell did you get on that tri-cycle?
