In my capri i am going to be throwin in some 6x9's in the doors. 4 per door. i have all most no door pannel, its a hard-board skin over the metle frame so it thickness is like 1". how do i go about doing this?? ex:thickness, mounts, glassing them in? know it is probably simple but never done doors before..

Are you willing to cut metal in the door at all or are you just wanting to do a huge buildout on the panel?

well i wont mind cuttin some metal, just as long as i can hide it and it would be easyer than a "buildout"
keep in mind this is a classic car...

Not to knock it, but why 6x9's .They never look good in doors . If you want something that sounds great and would look cool , try a 3 way comp. set . Like a 8in driver ,6in driver and a tweeter. That would sound great .Way better than any 2 pairs of 6x9's. Either way your going to have to build out off your door panel, and probably cut away some metal .Just my opinion.

head to fiberglassforums.com and you can see tons of builds like this, even 4-way component sets in doors, but u do need some fiberglassing skill to pull it off and make it perfect. good luck tho, peace
