i have a 05 dodge magnum ,am putting 2 re sx 15's on 1 us amps md2 loaded down to .5 ohms
i put one 15 in a 3 cube box with a 3"port 6" long and the amp at 1 ohm only hit a 143.7 db at 45 hz.after changing the ports up and down and adding a second port i got worst and worst dbs.
anyone got any thoughts on how to get louder before i add the second 15 .before i had 2 type r 12 in a hammerhill box with a single square port in the middle of the subs on the same amp and hit 144.9 at 40hz

smaller boxes generally work better for SPL
try maybe 1.5 cube with 3 aero ports

Hay CAPT. well i have to say im with adam212 on this one. I have worked with the RE line
subs a bit but not to up to date, as for the amp its been to long. So have you ever tried a sealed enclopsure. the only way i would recomend this is if your amp has power. Depend on the subs parametrs I would I would guess at 2-3 feet each. 15s are making a comback so I hve Buikding boxes let and right i just did a box for 2 massive cw15 not only loud but has a very good sound and so for the dodge if is extend a cab
lust picturet s slightly rectagle shape and whtever sind the ports/or ealed and on the same side as the woofer put 2 stips off mdf measuring the wood 2'high and probley 2ft long
so thios way you can put the box right on the seat and even make it fire in the back of the seat Hope this helps

Well, I would say that with limited power a larger box will yield a higher effeciency. . what note works best for your ride? Get an idea by sealing a box and try diff tones. .

And, then let me know.

the best i hit was with a 45 htz and i got a 43.7
and i pushed it at 1 ohm on a u.s. amps md2 making about 1500 watts rms,do you think adding a second md2 and straping them will make a differance or adding the second RE 15 and amp on a bigger box ,so far the best box is a 3 cube with 3" x 6" long port ,so if i make the same box (2 same boxes or 1 box 2x the size and double the power, cone area will it make a big differance like 150 db

We did a magnum about 2 weeks ago with 2 Kicker L7 15's in 7 cu.ft. box tuned at 35 with 2 Memphis MCD1000. And did a 147 @ 47Hz. Now the box took up everything behind the seats. Subs & Port up.
