Just trying to see if anyone here has already done a screen install on a 03 F-150. Just looking for some info before I go tearing apart my truck.

I've done it in my 2002 F150. I believe the 2003 is the exact same model.

No real big deal, you have to cut out that plastic behind the radio (where it slopes down to the firewall). The cage will then go in, as will the double din. Then I did the normal liquid plastic with the trim ring to get it smoothed in. I'm no where close to a "professional" installer and it took me a couple of hours.

Here's a picture when I was putting things back together.

That's exactly what I was looking for, thank you. Did you just use the liquid plastic to close the gaps around the edges? And what trim ring as I don't see one in that pic?

The trim ring was molded into the dash panel. I basically cut the dash panel enough to get it to fit. Then CA glued the trim ring in, and then used liquid plastic to rebuild the entire thing.

http://www.hzemall.com Look at his site. He shows this done on several vehicles.
