I am gonna put my avic system into my 03 suburban. it has onstar/bose/ steering controls. I know pac has a pluggin module for the steering controls. But I am looking for a very good dependable module that will work with onstar and the bose system but has the door chime without adding a 3rd module. I want something that does not have issues. I kept reading about some making popping noises and other goofy things.

pac will run around $150-200 for the steering control to the avic, bose/onstar interface and the door chime module. I know a few other companies have modules out there with built in chime and stuff.

The only other solution is to run new speaker wires which is a "ghetto" fix
bypassing the factory amp is the way to go

can you just unplug the speaker leads harness that goes into the amp to bypass bose??? I may have to do an install in a 03 XL thats supercharged. anyone know where the factory amp is located?
