I am gonna put my avic system into my 03 suburban. it has onstar/bose/ steering controls.
I know pac has a pluggin module for the steering controls.
But I am looking for a very good dependable module that will work with onstar and the bose system but has the door chime without adding a 3rd module.
I want something that does not have issues. I kept reading about some making popping noises and other goofy things.

pac will run around $150-200 for the steering control to the avic, bose/onstar interface and the door chime module.
I know a few other companies have modules out there with built in chime and stuff.

Metra makes a piece, GMOS-04 however it doesn't control the steering wheel controls unless the amp is digital but the Suburban shouldn't be.

even if you replace the speakers you still have to work around the factory amp...

The only other solution is to run new speaker wires which is a "ghetto" fix

bypassing the factory amp is the way to go
