now what i moved the trunk latch down and it helped alot then i tried the old spray foam in the trunk lid and the s#$* aint dryin its been a wk now but the rattle almost vanished. so my question is what 2 do wiht the non drying spray foam??????????????????????

if you have a heat gun - use that. Else a hair dryer. Warm air will help it dry.

Or you can try to wet/dry vac the goop out of there.

On the bottle it should say something about using a mist of water to help cure it. I would just be very careful NOT to use too much= rust.

the crap is a sticky nasty stuff y eally think a heat gun or a hair dryer will do it the problem is that there is no place for it to expand thats why its not dryin????????????

usually if application is done in one heavy coat, only the area that is exposed to air cures and almost creates a shell. So what you end up with resembles one of those choclate covered cream filled eggs. Once you get past the shell, it's all gooey.

Next time, fill in small stages. So it will fully cure.

right on az_ss but what should i do about getting it out or u think water or a heat gun will dry it

you might need to cut / break off the candy shell, to let the center dry. if you get too much out reaply in stages. I have had that stuff buckle out door shells too so be carefull [Big Grin]

P.S. try using a tiny screw driver to poke holes in the "Shell" if the center hasn't set up enough it will expand and come out of the holes you made with the screwdriver.

so if you put expanding foam in a trunk lid, rattle goes away, i will have to try that.
now what do i do about a sunroof trying to flex out of the car at 34hz and below?
