I need tips on how to stop breaking screws. When it comes to tightening them down the drill just breaks the heads off.

Pre-drill, use deck screws and dip the screw in wood glue. I find those tricks work VERY well. I normally ahve to sledgehammer the box apart because it just wont come apart anymore.

I'll try the deck screws. Because when I use dry wall screws they snap. But for mounting the subs I go and buy thicker longer machine screws for that. I wish I had an air compressor and brad gun or something.

brad gun for screwing subs in? lol
when you run screws go kinda slow and set the clutch, if you use plenty of glue the glue holds it together anyway...
and there are some 1.5 and 2'' screws that come in a purple box that they say a guranteed NOT to break...their expensive but worth it for mounting subs
