hey guys , i am wondering if this is possible!
My deck turns on/off right with my remote control. The remote wire connects into my amps , right So at high volumes my amps draw from my deck and then the deck shuts down for 2 sec and comes back, now i want to run my AMP remotes from the battery but still keeping a remote so i can turn them on and off from the deck....does anyone know how to build a relay so i can turn the amps on/off with the deck but taking the power from my battery -----------> check out my picture below this is what i want to do , it might help with the current draw

the amps shouldn't be turning off at high volumes unless the battery voltage is dropping to like 6 volts for more than like 2 seconds.. (and thats not happening, alright)
is it actually the amps that go off, or does the sound just stop? have the seen the lights on all the amps go off?
you could wire them into a relay, but its quite possible that it won't actually help...

The Deck is turning off , amps are always on. when i first set them amps up i had them wired from my deck. Yes at high volumes bass tone(burp) i can see the power getting drawed from the deck and then it gets dimmer and dimmer then shuts off for a sec or 2 and comes back resuming the note....

umm.... the remote line from the headunit is the battery voltage, and most headunits are capable of supplying a few hundred milliamps...
once the amps are on, the amount of current they would be drawing from this would be pretty constant, so even at high volumes, they would have nothing to do with the headunit going off...
it sounds more like you need to upgrade your electrical system... Because, if the headunit is going off now, it would still go off with a relay on the remote turn on...
does the headunit actually TURN OFF for like 2 seconds, then come back on, and resume play? It may have a low voltage protection circuit, and the amps are causing the battery voltage to drop to where this protection kicks in...
I'm guessing you aren't running any speakers off the headunits internal amps?? so, it wouldn't be because of an underrated power and ground cable to the headunit then...

this is kinda wierd , im pretty sure it has something to do with the deck , U can be right with the HU protection ciruit , I also tried now with the deck on flat and works a little better but doesnt shut off. So now is it possible for this relay to be built so if my amps decide to go into protect i can still reset them from outside my vehical with my remote for the deck

but you just said your headunit was shutting off, and your amps were still on... Posts: 3531 | From: Adelaide, Australia | Registered: Mar 2005

correct!!! thats when the remote wires are connected to the amps straight . so i want to do something like the illustration . Use the power from the battery with minimal of the deck remote wire , but still be able to turn the amps on/off

but... but... but.... I'll admit... lower voltage, will mean the amps will draw more current on the remote turn on line... but it shouldn't cause the headunit to turn off!!!
