Have seen a few cars before where people are using a electriclly charged glass to hide stuff in automotive applications. I can't find out what the stuff is called or any more info on this. I have a mini-itx computer i am installing and would like to use this stuff to help trick the install a little more. Anyone have info on this stuff or a link?

activated plasma glass is what I believe it is called. Expect it to be VERY expensive. The last time I saw some for sale---used--it was over $100 for an 8" by 10" piece.

Essentially it is glass that when you look at it is opaque. It has a transformer, and when you apply current to it, the glass becomes transparent.
Here is a good example (this is/was Scott Buwalda's Nissan 240) :

Thanks for the reply... Kinda knew what it was just still unsure where to get it. 100-150 is not to bad a price considering the computer w/ touchscreen is over 1k.

I have *all* of the original glass out of my old 240SX installation, in case anyone's interested. I have a few different sizes...a couple of 8 X 10", one long, slender one, the glass panel pictured above, and a few very small panels as well...
Brand new, it's $150.00 per square foot. I am selling for $75.00 per square foot.
Drop me a line at sbuwalda@buwaldahybrids.com if interested.

I haven't heard about Tim Maynor being around in a LONG time. I'm talking about 10 years or so. I doubt he still has anything laying around---he might, but I would be surprised.
Damn--Scott Buwalda makes an appearance. DyslexicGMC, don't hesitate to buy from Scott, great guy and completely trustworthy.
