You need a window crank remover tool. You can get them at any larger automotive supply store. usually around 5 to 10 bucks and a great thing to have in your tool box (I have 3). You just slide the tool behind the handle and it will pop off. btw...hold your hand over the crank. the clips have a tendancy to spring off and disappear.

Hope this helps

you probably already have the cheap version of the tool...a screwdriver. if you look between the base of the crank and the door panel, you will see a small clip that needs to be taken off. yes they are easy to lose.

the clip looks like an omega sign. We refer to them as bastard clips. They can fly an unbelievable distance if you are not careful. Don't worry though you can replacements at autozone for a couple of dollars for a large pack.

Actually using a rag works really well to...just lay an edge flat behind and drag it through...I'm a GM tech and I use that more often than my crank tool...just because the clip usually gets stuck in the rag

the OH $hit clips are fun. i picked up a pack of 20 at collision center for 2 bucks. i got tired of looking for them whenever they would launch.
