Before mounting an amp or anything, take another look. I've seen numerous cases where an amp was baked to death because it was mounted above the catalytic converter, or a mounting screw pierced a gas or brake line. Todays cars are crammed with equipment, some of which is sensitive to other magnetic fields like on-board computers. Look at both sides before you pick the final location of whatever you're installing. Be careful out there, it's cheaper than higher insurance.

Last car I looked under, a girl at works installer friend from down south hadn't drilled to exhaust, but right above it and ran the wire outta the trunk and layed over...
But ya, lots of ppl dont check what they're drillin, sometimes it's best to just get 2 ppl and and check on either side to make sure it's gonna go thru right, or if u hear them tapping (firewall also). One slip up under there can be wicked costly...
