Ok my dentist called me today (my mother works for him) and asked if I could install a Cd player in his 96 Toyota Rav 4.

He said he went to the toyota dealership and bought some special piece that allows both the stock cassette and cd player to be installed at the same time. He already purchased the wiring harness.

So how do I go about installing this cd player with the Cassette player already in there?

Any Help?? [Smile]

That came from SD--if it looks like that, I would think it would go in the space in the lower console. Just take that out and use (what I hope are supplied) brackets to install it as if the factory had done so. With the wiring harness it shouldn't be to bad--should be plug and play.

He probably spent more on the factory CD player and harness than he would have spent on a deck and changer installed.

Andy

PS: pimp slap the man and tell him to buy a real vehicle.

Thank you Andy...... I will send him the pictures to find out if that is indeed the same interrior.

I hope I don't have to take the whole dash apart to get to that bottom section....doesn't look like I would have to?!?!

Some of the RAV4s have a double din radio. I don't know what models came like that but I know for a fact the newer ones do. If thats the case its all in one unit. should be cake if it is seperate ones then there is no other way than to go in that seperate pocket under the radio. harness should plug right up to it.
