I have two questions...
which is a better product: the material available at sounddeadeningmaterial.com or the stuff availlable at partsexpress.com, part # 268-020? don't know if you guys have had experience with either of the two, but if you have, what you think about it?

and when you dynamat your doors, how do you cover the front sheet metal? what do you do with the vapor barrier and all the metal rods and holes and all that other stuff?

Never used either. I like Cascade VBlok.

Toss the vapor barrier. The mat replaces it.
Cover lock rods with split loom and cover right over the split loom. The rods remain active this way.
Large holes can be covered with thin wood first and then cover right over the whole door and and small holes (small enough so your fist won't fit through) with the mat.

On the really big holes it just adds some support for the mat.

I don't know what to use. I thought about using that stuff from parts express it looks good, but not for sure yet.
