Before you all fall on the floor laughing, I have seen a SQ competition car using a Stroker in a 0.9 cu.ft sealed enclosure, and judging by his success, it sounds pretty good. Has anyone got any box design software they could put the specs in and see how it looks??? The specs are:
Free-Air Resonance: f s 45 Hz
Total Q: Q ts 0.230
Mechanical Q: Q ms 8.880
Electrical Q: Q es 0.231
Compliance Volume: V as .76 ft 3
Maximum Excursion: X max 0.9” (+0.45”)
(peak to peak) 23 mm (+11.5 mm)
Voice Coil DC Resistance: R evc 3.4 W
Effective Cone Area: S d 83.53 in 2
Driver Displacement: .15 ft 3
Thanks in advance

Cerwin Vega originally designed the Strokers for midbass drivers in the sound reinforcement end of things, playing very loud for a very long time at very high volumes. You should be able to get really good sound out of one, but I'm not sure what kind of luck you'll have getting them to play the really low stuff.

I have got the freq. response off the CV site and it starts tailing off at about 35Hz at -30dB per octave, so does this mean it will not sound very deep? How audible is sound this low?
Can anyone recommend any free, good quality box software so I can have a play about??
