Anyone know anything about this company? I remember reading somthing about them on the other forum, but can't find the old post now. Seems as if I remember reading on the old post that Robert Zeff designed these amps. Just curious about how good they sound etc.

For Arc Audio? Nah, people look at me like I am crazy when I mention the brand. They did the same thing when I asked around about buying some horns- now look at the horn market. The local dealer for Zapco is a penis as well, so I won't buy anything from him.
Anyway, just trying to find nice, quality stuff that no one else uses alot. Been looking at using home drivers in my car, but to be honest I don't know too much about the different models, other than I like the way Dynaudio sounds. People have suggested Morel as well, looked into the Integra 8s for my next upgrade, but having never heard any I find it difficult to make the "leap of faith" to buy them.
Thanks.

Thanks Craig. I knew from reading posts old posts that you used home drivers. I also read that Dynaudio isn't going to be shipping raw drivers after the new year, and Madisound has the D28/2s on sale for $50. Thought that I might get some for either my car or a future home project. Will the 17W75 work in an auto environment? Someone told me that it wouldn't because it was stressed (heat/cold stressed?). Home drivers have more of the sound that I am looking for. I like alot of midbass, but it seems that auto speakers don't have the output and detail that I am looking for. Also most auto tweeters sound like do-do to me. I don't know, maybe I am too picky.
Thanks again.

Sweet. I thought that is was garbage myself, but what do I know? Well, damn, I can get the home stuff at a fraction of the price of the car stuff. Now, just will have to make crossovers for the mid and tweeters...Hum.
I had heard that Morel and Dynaudio was very similar, but I don't know from who.
Right now I will have to go with what my wallet will let me. Gotta save money for a new car if I go back to graduate school next year (might have assistantship to get my MBA), I would be poor again.

Buddy, let me tell you all about being broke!
My wife is an Undergraduate in Civil Engeneering. I take one class a semister (finish in June 2000), and work full time to keep the doors open and lights turned on.
I really understand.

Well I have a few months before I hear if I get the spot or not. Trying to decide if the MBA would be worth getting (ie, "what would a chemistry major do with an MBA?").
