just out of curiosity i was reading some threads here and noticed that many people run 2 channel amplifiers in their cars to power the mids. are two channel amps better than 4 channel amps?, the other question i have is. is it possible to wire a 4 channel amp to have 2 of the channels running only tweeters(4) with their respctive crossover and then have theother 2 channels in the amp power the midranges(again 4) this would be setting the amp at 2 ohm load and using 4 ohm mids.and tweets i think that by adjusting the filters in the amp i could get good sound quality does this make any sense or am i way off? one more and final question. could i use the headunits speaker outputs to power the tweeters and adjusting thehigh pass filter in the headunit and then just run the mids out of the amp? thanks.

amps have lower SQ running at lower impedance, or bridged. Bi-amping is a great key to SQ. do it, but do it right

I am running a two channel class A/B amp to a set of Dynaudio and I am using electronic crossovers. My purpose for this as many I'm sure is to run the amp at higher impedence for cleaner power from the amp, as D-Bass stated the lower the impedence you run your amps at the higher the distortion!
