Hey, I'm probably not remembered but I did use to come around these parts back when I first built my car stereo. Since that time it had been taken out and I have just now gotten around to putting it back in. My current set up is as follows:
Alpine CDA-9887 Coustic 481QE Coustic 401DB Alpine Type R 12" A/D/S 320is
I know probably not the best system around, but I do have a limited budget to work with. I definately like my system to sound good, but I am unable to go as all out as some of the guys here, so maybe I'm in the wrong section, but I figured I'd make this first post anyways.
The system sounds pretty good, I just upgraded from an older Kenwood KDC-X459 to the Alpine head unit, so I'm still playing around with getting it set up. Unfortunately kick panels are not an option as I drive a standard Cavalier and I am a big guy and there just isnt room down there to put in kick panels. The a/d/s set is currently in the doors, and while its not the best place, I am trying to make it work for now. My future plans for the system are to dynamat the doors, and to eventually run another set of RCA's and speaker wire and to actively crossover my speakers, instead of using the a/d/s passive crossover. Does anyone know what the passive crossover on these is set at, as a guideline? I also want to try renting the imprint kit from Crutchfield and try running it on my car and seeing how it works. I know I don't really have any questions, but if anyone has any suggestions feel free to post them, I'm always open to new ideas! Thanks!

The imprint would help a lot especially since you have your speakers on the doors the imprint is your best shot for imaging
