Hello, I compit in IASCA in the Expert Class, but I have some troubles with the setup in my car, I have a 30 band digital EQ (DQXS) and I have the Term-lab RTA, in the RTA the curve its FLAT, like I line, but I not now if this curve its the best for SQ, because I dont have any good result in competition, my best is a 4 place.
But I now the I can get more from the digital EQ but I dont now this procesor to much, if any body have some curve for competition ore any coment I will very gladd.

definitely flat on the RTA does not have a natural or appealing sound to the ear

Don't rely on an RTA to tune. Tune with your ears. Set everything to flat. See if you have any huge dips or peaks. Work on those areas first. Then just make adjustments based on the way it sounds.

good advice! listen to the people's winning cars.use high end head phones that rta flat,try to match your car to them.go to drum shop.beat on drums.see what they sound like.see some live horns play.you have to experience great natural sound before you can copy it.good luck!!!
