Well I just burned up my Kicker SX900.2 due to rain getting on it..... I am now running a Rockford Fosgate 550.2 for my highs right now as a temporary but I want to get more power to my highs. You can read my sig and see what I am using as speakers for highs, anyways I want a more powerful amp that has great Sound Quality to it. I am looking at the Hifonics ZXi 1006, I love my goliaths but am always looking for more input. I am running all my highs 2 Channel at 2 Ohms so any input let me know...........Thanks

Old Zapco z600 before symbilink. Or any old Zapco Comp amp before symbilink. The best amps ever built for SQ in my opinion. The C2K6.0 is also good of course!

I find the Zapco to be more dynamic with a more realistic stage. The McIntosh can be a little too warm. This is just my opinion of course. The McIntosh is a a very good amp, just not my favorite. It really depends on what you like and what other links you will have in your chain. You can never know what will truly sound best until you listen to all of the possibilities in your system. One amp may sound best when used in one system, while another amp sounds best in another system. In general I find that the amp is very rarely the weakest link in a system and therefore you can often get away with an even less expensive amp and have extremely good results. I find that the install of the components is almost always the weakest link. If your install is not as good as you can possibly make it then you will not get the most out of any amp. How have you installed your SS's? Pics?
