Not worth it to bother. Any upgrades you do to the DAC would be lost in the analog department and volume control.

It's not bad stock...but not worth modifying.

^That's what I've gathered also. If you have reached the limits of the 701, it is time to move on to the F#1 or a pro audio piece.
