BTW, It is good to see that the thread is getting back On-Topic talk. [Wink]

I just wanted to state my viewpoints on what DeafTones said since I last saw.

* I do hope DT stops now also.*

The Bottom Line Is This:

If I choose the be a rare breed running vintage & old school gear then that's me and don't need any backlash about it.

Do you not read anything? Mr. Rare breed, we're running gear from the same era. [stfu]

Great, but stop with the hate.

Remember though I told you before you posted that I really didn't give a rats ass at that time to hear about your set up because you were pissing me off BAD, so I hardly read it.

Linear Power & CV Strokers, good choice! [Wink]

I'll add this--you also don't need to comment every time RF is mentioned. Everyone knows what you use and that you really like it, but Jesus you don't have to make the same post eleventy billion times.

I am surprised Andy. I thought we buried the hatchet.

This thread was about the RF Vintage Old School Power Amp (below the famous Power 1000) and I was standing up for it.

I am the one who took time out and came up to meet you at the Elite Summer Nationals in Spartanburg.

There is really no need to carry this out any further.

As for the comments about all this being entertaining, I for one do not find it that way at all. Save it for Off-Topic.

I have no hatchet. I just hate knowing that if someone post anything about RF your "I use old school RF (or CV) and it is the bestestestestest evar" post will be soon to follow. If it had some substance that actually applied to each post--it would be fine--but it rarely does.

Party on.

I am proud of the accomplishments of RF & CV. I do like other brands & give them proper credit when due. Matter of Fact, my bro runs 1 15" MTX Thunder 7500 (that I bought for him) and IMHO, it is a great sub & well built (stitching on surround to cone.) He ran a RF Vintage Old School Series 1 15" and the surround was separating from the cone. He repaired it, but did not look great...Still worked though.

Not always true. I tell them why and give them the link to the RF Vintage & Old School Forum on the Official RF Forum to learn more:

Party on.

Mine is in Italics. I guess I should underline (both on top & bottom) the other persons post to better separate.

This really is starting to look like an off-topic thread.....and a lot of whining and arguing going on as well. Alot of it should be kept to PM's but I'm not a mod [Razz]

I think there were more than 2 people involved in this mess but that's just my opinion.

Andy has made the ultimate point in the thread, while some of the old RF stuff was great, it has plenty of modern competition that will perform better and not have the repair headaches. If you own it cuz its vintage thats fine, but I agree building a setup around it should be a decision you really think through.
