Ok I've been doing some research in Magazines and on the Internet but I'm only 18 and only had one other system before, so I don't have the experience necessary to decide on which type of setup would be the best for my system. That where I need you guys like that have been around this type of stuff for a while. I'm sorry for all these posts but some of them just seem to confuse me even more.
I'm completely redoing my equalization. and crossover network.
My Head Unit has 3 outputs a front, a rear, and a nonfading.
I'm also using a epicenter in my system I want to get a new qualizer(s) in my system.
This is probally just going to be a daily driver with maybe just a could of stops at a tiny competitions.
What type of equalizer should I buy. It's almost like I have 3 amps. 1 for left, 1 for right and 1 for subs.
Thanks a lot for the help and I hope this will get me to understand this part of systems a lot better.

Choices for eq range from a 5 or so band parametric eq to a processor like th RF EPX2 (eq ,pre-amp,xover).
I looked at a 7 band parametric eq but went for the epx. Costs a lot but you get way more for your money. It's great, 28 bands and up to 14 output chanels.

I have an AudioControls EQX in my car and a Phoenix Gold EQ215X in my wife's truck. The I like both units. The EQX is a 13 band EQ that concentrates more on the bass octaves than the midrange or high frequencies, but that's fine because bass and mid-bass are where most of the problems seem to be in a car. It also has a sub-sonic filter. The EQ215X has 15 bands of EQ. Both have high-pass and low-pass crossovers built in and factory set at 90 hz (they can be changed by replacing the chips) and both have 3 pairs of outputs, Low-pass, high-pass and auxillary (or rears). If you are interested in either of these units and want more info, e-mail me.

I have decided to keep my Clarion EQH-5100 which is a Electronic 9 band Graphic equalizer and a crossover. I'm also going to run a Alesis M-EQ230 this is a dual 30 bands 1/3 octave eq.
I'm going to run the nonfading first into my Alesis M-EQ230, then into my Epicenter, then into my EQH-5100. From this the eqh-5100 splits the signal into front, rear and subwoofer. I have the highpass x-over set at 60 and the lowpass x-over set at 80. this will send 60 hz and up into my front output and 80 and below into my sub output.
The front is y-ed and I Have the RSB215 running in biamp mode off of a A404.2
and the sub amp is a A600.2 running 2 JL Audio 12W3-d4 at 4 ohm mono. The box is ported and tuned to around 33.4hz or so. Can I get a subsonic filter chip in my epicenter so I don't play the subs too low?
How does it sound like it's coming?

Yes, you can get a chip for the sub-sonic filter. Contact Audio Controls, www.audiocontrols.com, and they take care of you. Your system sounds like it's coming along pretty damn good!
Good Luck!
