Ok, I messed up, some folks got their panties in a bunch over it...sorry.
You guys still want me around since I'm the worse thing since Hitler? If you want me to stay, then I'll stay...or tell Wayne to remove me otherwise.

Andy, the funny thing is that I never got any emails about anything...just was greeted by an onslaught of people who don't normally come to this forum, much less post here. Christ in a bucket, you would think that I had killed someone's cat...
Maybe more people do or will come an visit us now on?
I'm not saying anything about those 10s...other than they are good 10s and you are a good person.

I saw the post, who knew that you were not just a moderator but also a role model that should set forth a standard of conduct for the rest of us to follow. I still don't see the problem. But I guess it was a slow Saturday night for some folks, so they spent quality time on the internet looking for something to complain about.
More people coming to visit----maybe--but is that always a good thing?

I never thought there was anything wrong with your posts...one thing I really like about this forum is the relaxed atmosphere of it...ECA is the same, from my limited posting experience over there; lots of guys have offered up things they have for sale, albeit in the course of normal discussion on various audio components.
I say everyone should just chill. You're a great mod, Winslow, so stay around and help people like me out!
And if I had something for sale that was SQ related, like say a pair of brand new Helix HXA400 mk II amps that I want to unload for a really good price (way under MSRP, BTW), I would hope that nobody would freak out, and that they would email me if they were interested in them
Evidently some people had their cornflakes peed in this morning and told a few other mods about the whole thing. What you guys want to post, post...might get closed, might not...
We try to have the best part of the forum here. There are alot of very smart people who frequent this part of the forum, and we've never had any problems from anyone. We help and learn from each other, no?
Maybe we can look at the bright side of things...as PT Barnum once said- "There is no such thing as bad publicity." Maybe we'll get more traffic now...I know we will since big brother is watching us now.

Did I miss something, why would anyone want Jason leave as a moderator of Sound Quality. I have judged Jason's car and he has a very nice Pro Street 601+ ride. I judged his Install but I did get a chance to listen to his car, VERY NICE. There are more ways than one to have a good sounding ride. So the old saying is true " There is more than one way to skin a cat". So guys lighten up. Jason good luck at the IASCA Finals.

Dang, Winslow...... I was just saying EVERYONE should follow the rules..... That is why we were put where we are... because we know what we are talking about and our supposed to uphold the rules.
Didn't mean for you to get offended by anything I said, I was just saying that what goes for one, should go for all.

Thanks Brian. I just heard about your accident at NOPI. I hope you and your family is doing ok. You heard the car? I din't know that...lol, I was out of that day. No wood screws this time around... And it should sound even better, maybe as good as your car.
Iggy...Whussup Wit Dat? j/k dude...I thought that your's and Alan's posts were ok, but the other two that chimed in weren't called for or posting on the moderator section wasn't called for either. A simple email would have done just fine. None of the offended parties ever contacted me once. BTW- I know what you are getting in a few days...lol, I'm getting some this week too... .

yes yes of course I want the IDW haven't changed my mind about anything! not sure if I want the new bodies or not. I'll goa head and send the money for the current ones and I'll let you know well before finals whether I want the new bodies and will send you whatever it costs. I think I'll definitely need minihorn bodies in my tiny car. Andy Jones will tell you just how tiny it really is!

I've seen Shriners get out of bigger cars.
Definetely a very very small car. But with 8's in the doors, the horns under the dash (and maybe a midrange in the kick), with the IDW in the trunk (free aired, maybe AP'd???)---that is a potent system. Would also be nice to move the seat back--I mean really BACK.
As important, with Matt, Brian G. and myself we will have three SQ people in Alabama. Small start-but building. (And maybe one more, if he ever starts to build.)

i am the one who contacted the mods FYI. Why you ask? not because i hate you or that i dont want you to sell your stuff, heck, i would love to have termpro the way it used to be so i could sell my 8100d and mtx 6000 series 12's too! but that isnt the point. the point is that when you go to this section and you see that stuff, people think they can do it anywhere in termpro. i like your idea of leaving it posted but closed but it still breaks the rules. i have even asked some of the mods about posting the for sale ad at carsound and posting a link here and they thought it would be on the shady side of the rules. i also agree with you about the market place, it does suck. you cant lowball, you cant tell who is who, and its hard to keep track if the user name is john over there and bob over here. i am wondering about your dilemma tho, about not being able to use marketplace. you do know that you have to register over there, right? i did it when it first opened so i cant remember if i had to sign in any checking account or credit card numbers or not. i was lucky enough to get to use my username there too. but i still feel its not as good as it used to be. take for example some guy from omaha saying he can get anything you want for discounted prices, when you contact him thru it it seems like he can only get a few things and then he loses interest if your not begging to send money to him. his username there has never been used over here. just my 2 cents tho. if you want to break the rules, go for it and have it your way. its not me that pays the price for your actions. like i said and i hope you understand, its nothing personal, i dont know you and you seem to be helpful in your posts so youre not a bad guy. rules are rules.

LOL. I got a couple emails also - I think they let Iggy and I know because we bust idiot's butts when they post classifieds in the feedback area.
I didn't even really come to the forum all weekened and didn't talk to you til last night, and by that time I forgot I needed to ask you to kill the "sale" thing.
A boo-boo doesn't make you less than qualified to be giving SQ suggestions.
Takes a big man to make the mistake, bigger man to admit it and apologize.
You made a booboo- now lets get back to SQ business.

winslow, I don't know what you did, since I havn't logged in for awhile, but YOU are the reason why I switched from SPL to SQ. YOU enlightened me what SQ can do and your 'SQ posts' have been very inspirational. It is YOU that made me start visiting this SQ section.
So don't leave. Please.

Winslow posted that he had a few items for sale and that he couldn't utilize the Marketplace. Fixxxer posted a nasty-gram in the Mod section (I think it's been erased) about it. Words got flung around - just like a good ole family reunion....well, at least my family reunions, although we didn't need full-plate body armour to read the Mod thread .
IMO - No biggy. Was it an infraction of the rules? Yes. Was it a major infraction? IMO, no. 5 yard incidental face-mask penalty? Yes. 15 yard major face-mask penalty? No. (Sorry, all things come back to football --- one track mind).
Should winslow be ejected? If I'm still around, then he should definately be on-board!!
Oh well...time to go find some more work to do and some food to consume.

I'll do it by example:
Lets say that a post was made by an individual (let's say Winslow), in which he had several items for sale including a pair of a/d/s mids 4" that he had for a really good price, or lets say a second individual, let say, Jeremyeb, had a pair of brand new Helix HXA400 mk II amps that he wanted to unload for a really good price (way under MSRP, BTW), or lets say a third person, myself, had a pair of RF Audiophile 10" subs that he wanted to get rid of (trade or sale--whatever ).
Well that "type" of post was made. Several people complained, and the post was deleted. That pretty much sums it up.
Andy

geez. Why do people have to get their panties in a bunch over stuff like this. If Winslow is out of this forum, so am I. Keep him around. And as for the people who complained about his posts: what business is it of yours? I mean, who really cares if someone made a post like that? Does it really affect your life and mean you have to get all bent out of shape? Live and let live . . . geez . . .
