I just bought an old Termlab from a member on a forum. Reciept shows it was bought in 2003.

My dad has an old IBM Thinkpad Laptop that Im using for it... Its been sitting in a closet for close to 9 years and is running Windows 98. Im trying to install everything, but getting nothing but errors.

Im so lost and confused and feel like I should just sell the thing and buy a new TL and get a decent laptop to run the thing.

I think one of the errors I get with it is something about "wire.ocx" or something similar.

Anyone want to help?

when you say old termlab you're not talking about the stick type mics are you?

You're actually talking about the Termlab?

If you're talking about termlab, then check the minimum system requirements and I bet a 9+ year old laptop doesn't have enough memory or doesn't have the processing power to run it

If it's a sensor based system, it will need minimum Windows XP to run.

The guy I bought it from said it ran just fine on it. I couldnt get the laptop to work that he traded me, but Im trying it on a different laptop, the one my dad had.

Got the program running, but it cuts some of the screen off on the right, cant get it right with all the resolution settings and TL settings and everything. It doesnt look like the normal TL screen Im used to seeing.

Its not a stick mic, its the regular TL, just an old one.

I'm running into the same problem right now. I used to use the TL sensor on an old laptop running windows 98 and it worked fine.

WHen I turned it on today and tried to run it, it basically took a crap. it reads for 4 seconds and then freezes for 30, reads for 4, freezes for 30, etc.....

Hopefully this guy will trade me back since the laptop he traded me has software problems and wont even work. If he will trade me back Ill probably just buy a new TL and cheap new laptop.
