my meter worked fine the 1st time i used it, this is the 2nd time now and i am getting a fluctuation between 120-122 whether the meter is plug in or not. when it is not pluged in both screens show hthese #'s when it is pluged in the 1st sensor then the 2nd one on the screen reads this # when i switch the sensor the other does it.

also when i play a bass sweep the meter doesn't react to it. ( it should be mid 140's )

any ideas? i have a show tommorrow and whould like to test tonight.

please help thanks

what is the temperature like where you are? sometimes when its cold here, my meter will act like that. i can usually just let it run a while and its fine. i guess it warms the electronics inside the sensor.

ok i figured out the problem, i am a idiot. i have the a/c powered term-lab. the extension cord that i plug it in to was never pluged into the wall.

the meter was powering up though, i guess the usb gives it a little power.

anyway i plug it in to the wall and it works perfect.

thanks for your help [Smile]
