yeah I am sure you could easily just splice the USB cable so that it puts out power through a round plug also just cut the insulation and hack into it. Not sure what wire would be the power but it couldn't be too hard to figure out

There's more to it than just splicing the cable... USB doesn't output the 14v necessary.

quote:

USB voltage:
Supplied voltage by a host or a powered hub ports is between 4.75 V and 5.25 V. Maximum voltage drop for bus-powered hubs is 0.35 V from its host or hub to the hubs output port. All hubs and functions must be able to send configuration data at 4.4 V, but only low-power functions need to be working at this voltage. Normal operational voltage for functions is minimum 4.75 V.

What is the power requirement of TL?

USB = 5V

You need a converter from 5V to 12V I assume (I dont know what is the voltage in to the TL, somebody look for that please.

At this time a DC-DC 5 to 12V converter should be available somewhere, direct from China.

You can build this but its a bit difficult because of the coil, maybe it can be found assembled coils

Found another, simpler

Not going to JOYRIG somthin to power my TL. So I will secound my last statement.

Why do all of that. When.
A) We could get a retro fit kit for it whatever do switch it over to USB power.(Was talked about before)
B)To mabye do a trade in. Send our AC powered box ones in Pay a fee hopefull not huge for a newer USB powered box.

300+shipping. I assume we get to keep the AC powered one. Being that seems a bit much.
