I've tested my termlab usb on several computers, and it allways uses 100% of the CPU, since it can run on a pretty small pc, like 200 MHz, i think it's an error that it uses 100% of my 3 GHz CPU. Why is that? The CPU usage starts as soon as i press start. And after a long testing, my CPU gets hot. Since i have a Pentium 4 it's not a problem, but i know some laptops and AMD cpu's could get really hot, untill the bios shuts the pc down.
Is that a problem that will get fixed? I'm just wondering, since i haven't seen any one mentioning this before.

When you press the Start button, the system starts acquiring data and "crunching" numbers. There are various timers that are running and this is probably what is causing the 100% utilization.
I have never heard of any situations in which the computer shut down due to overheating of the CPU. I am sure that all computers are designed for their CPU's to run at full-speed on a continuous basis. The BIOS CPU overtemp shutdown feature is to protect the CPU in case of a CPU fan failure.

I have not tested this program. I would be careful about how much you restrict Term-LAB otherwise the program might not be able to process all of the data in the timeframe required.
