Hey everyone...

I just wanted to bring up this topic since I was doing a bit of reading about the chipsets that work with the termlab. Turns out that Ali and SiS have problems with the Termlab. ALi I wouldnt doubt that it doesnt work since that chipset is old. SiS on the other hand still does.

Older SiS chipsets according to people had problems with the USB. My shuttle XPC happens to have a SiS 651 chipset or something around that line, and it ran termlab without a problem...

So comes the question, is there working chipsets with the termlab that are SiS??

If so, then we should probably try to compile a list of working motherboards/chipsets of SiS that work with the termlab. Here is the first entry id like to include:
--------------
Shuttle XPC SS56G and SS56GV2 (Chipset: SiS 661FX / 963)
Dell Inspiron 1000 Laptop (SiS 650 chipset)
--------------

I will have an old Dell Inspiron 1000 laptop that also happens to have a SiS chipset and post how it turns out.

Thanks.

We haven't had any calls regarding incompatible chipsets for a long, long time. I believe that the manufacturers of these defective chipsets have corrected the problem.

Ok. If there was a chipset that didnt happen to work, then it would probably be good to at least list the incompatible boards. Then again, that problem doesnt occur anymore lol. Probably too much work. But if there is anyone who had a problem with a specific computer and there was no means of getting it to work, then it would be good to add a post about it too.

Thanks again.

The Dell laptop that was given to me worked great with the TL.
