I do not know if this question has been anwsered...

The cables connecting the TL box to the sensors are good old Cat5 ethernet cables. Standard cables are 25 ft in length.

Is there a limit on how long a cable should be. I was wondering since i needed a +/- 60ft cable, but i was unsure about wether or not it would influence the measurement process.

And on the same plane, does both cables need to be the same lenght in order to keep the measurement process the same? (Read here will the length of the cable influence in any way the sensor reading)

That's something I've never even thought of. I just thought it would read the same no matter how long the cable length. Hopefully Wayne can chime in.

The standard maximum for cat5e cable length is 90 meters, right about 300 feet given optimum conditions.

In our case, that standard should hold up since are are not using any other type of networking hardware, such as hubs, switches, routers or anything to that effect.

Fiery has hit the nail on the head. Industry standards on cat 5 cable is 300ft. Anything longer you risk data loss and interuption of signal.
