I had my first sanctioned DB Drag/Bass Race this weekend. . And, the second monitor would not display under 120db. I was in Bass Race mode qualifying cars and it still was not displaying under 120db. What adjustments do I need to make before the next show to get this to work?

Also, how often do most people have to change out their CAT 5 cables? Is it common to have to change out every show or two. . as they take a beating.

Also, the reading that comes up .. obviously the values in the green should show that both sensors are healthy. . are 6 or so .. We thought we may have a cable issue. . and changed cables in the middle of the show. . well, turns out that the competitor that was complaining about the reading being low or slow .. dropped a sub .. How do I know with confidence that the sensors and cables are fine?? I don't want to stop a show if someone is complaining about the reading everytime. .What does the reading mean for each sensor.?? Honestly. .I am tired and can't remember if it is a voltage reading of each cord and sensor or what .. help me out. .

the people areound here complain about the readings because they are used to doing 150 on greg hortons audio control.

with the newer software, termlab automatically checks the sensor and cable, and wont start if it detects a problem.

if your ever in the metter or reidsville area, i could go through the settings on your termlab to make sure everything is right.

1. Run Term-LAB
2. Select Tools / Hardware Configuration
3. Select the "Input Devices" tab.
4. Click on the "Edit" button next to Sensor 2.
5. Change the "Min SPL" value from 120 to 80.
6. Click Save.

The Term-LAB sensors don't require calibration. I would recommend that you obtain some new Cat5 cables. Then, take 2-3 feet of rubber fuel line (ace hardware) and slit the fuel line on one side lengthwise. "Snap" the fuel line around the sensor cable where it passes through the door. This will protect the sensor cable.
