Can I use Cat5e cable I need one thats longer than the one that comes with the TL

Yes. Just make sure it is not a "crossover" cable. Normal Cat5, 5e, 6 ethernet cables work fine.

The max accepted length of a Cat5 cable you can run (without any amping) is 100m, or 328 feet. You can run longer than that in some cases, but you start getting signal loss.

So just stick with any straight through cable less than 100m.
