I've been reading about passwords and such and was wondering.
If someone were to buy a second hand Termlab USB system, do they need to make sure to get the password along with it? What other important info should one ask for and about? [Confused]

When you purchase a used system, just call me and I will transfer the registration data in our database to your name. No problem.

by the same token....

is it possible to find out if a termlab is legit before purchasing it..

ie: not stolen?

i have my own, but some people on another board found one on ebay that threw up some red flags to me.

claimed to be a new system, dual sensors, with an RTA mic for only 450 ?!?!?!

sounded ungodly cheap to me, and made me think maybe it was stolen.

i recommended they contact the seller get his name, and then contact you to find out if it was legit before purchasing.

just in my experience, sometimes when a price is too good to be true, it usually is.

There is a guy in the TP market place that is selling a dual sensor set up for 450 i believe, maybe the same guy?

no, those are being sold by urban artfx-evgeny, and splethan (michigan and florida)

the one foudn elsewhere has dual mics and claims to have rta as well.

that was the flag for me. no one sells a system THAT cheap with everything.

At the moment, I don't own a laptop. But I was hoping to use either my old computer or my buddy's laptop. Considering I know the password and such, would I be able to simply reinstal everything onto my new laptop when I get it!?

you can reinstall the software on the other laptop.

You can also measure the output on the analog outputs if you want to reference for your own testing
