The newest version of Term-LAB (version 5.9.20) is now available for download.
This version significantly improves the operation of Bass Race competition and adds several new features requested by users.
Bass Race works correctly
Users may now manually display messages on a leaderboard. (Select Tools / Leaderboard Message from the pull-down menu.)
Tie-Breaking rounds will auto-start after a 5 minute time period.
"Mega-Boards" are now supported. (A megaboard consists of 10 leaderboard displays... I'll probably be the only one who owns one of these puppies. You'll see it at Finals.)
To download the update, run Term-LAB and then select Help / Update.
Follow the on-screen instructions.

How does the program decide who is the higher seed when qualifiers have the same qualifying score? Specifically, I suggest that it automatically picks the whichever competitor goes last. This way the advantage goes to the competitor who qualified higher.

Ok, leaderboard messaging is great. Now if there is a way to slow down the leaderboard scrolling or keep it from scrolling.
Also, in Bass Race mode, the leaderboard doesnt' show up till 28 seconds. If you listen to the 'speech' the clock actually starts at the word "SET".
Now, can someone go when the computer clock is going or do they have to wait till the leaderboard show a time? If they can go at the word "SET" does this mean if they wait till the leaderboard starts showing a clock that the get a zero score for 2 seconds? When does it become a redlight or whatever? Why even have that anyway?

Look on the status bar at the bottom of the screen. If the number of competitors is not 0, you won't be able to change the K-factor. (This prevents "funny business" during an event.)
Click on dB Drag and look at the number of competitors. Repeat this process for each organization. If ANY organization has a Competitors that is not 0, that is the problem. For that organization, select Scorekeeping Options and then New Contest.

10 Displays, but no dB-TV... Sorry, that`s very sad!
