hi wayne,
it's bryan b.
after down loading all the software we did the other day, now my meter reads 1.1 db's down from what it did before ???

before the down load i was doing 151.8 easy , all the time(outlaw ).

now only thing different is we (you and i ) added all the new down loads / up grades.

but before we did that my meter was .8 to .9 higher than all the meters at every show.

just wondering what might be going on ?
thx

Bryan,

In situations such as this (where you seem to be getting variations in your readings), there are several factors which could be causing the problem.

I will list them in the order that you should check.

  • First, try to find another Term-LAB system (at a show, for example) and put both systems in the vehicle at the same time. We need to establish definatively that there is a problem. (Many times, changes in readings are the result of changes to the sound system.) You might also just try another user's sensor.
  • Verify that the K-Factors are set properly. See your owner's manual for the correct K-Factor settings for your sensor.
  • Try replacing the sensor cable. This is by FAR the greatest hardware failure that we have seen.
  • The sensor may be bad. This is pretty unlikely as I think we have only had like 2 bad sensors and one of those was user abuse.

Hope this helps! Good luck this weekend.
