Symptom

When you try to run Term-LAB on a Windows 2000 operating system, you may receive this error if you are running an older version of Microsoft DirectX.

Solution

To correct this problem, you will need to update your version of DirectX. The easiest way to do this is to use the Windows Update feature provided with Windows. Allow the Windows Update utility to scan your computer for required updates. Next, select DirectX from the list of available updates. After you install the update, you will probably need to reboot. Then, try running Term-LAB again. This should fix the problem.
