When you launch Term-LAB you receive an error message stating, "The Term-LAB USB Key must be attached to the computer before you can run this program. (6043-0000-0000)."
Problem
The Term-LAB hardware configuration file does not exist.
Solution
You must run Instacal to create the hardware configuration file. (Instacal is used to detect the Term-LAB hardware attached to the computer. You must run Instacal once whenever you install Term-LAB on a new computer or whenever you change the Term-LAB hardware that is attached to the computer.)
Click on the Windows "Start" button.
Select "All Programs".
Scroll down to the Term-LAB folder and select "Instacal".
Instacal should detect the attached Term-LAB hardware.
Click "OK" to continue.
Exit Instacal.
You should now be able to run Term-LAB.
