i added a 4ch amp to my system.but i have a ground loop somewhere in the system. so i ran a new ground from the amp to the battery. still didnt fix it. i tried changing rca cables 4 times. still nothing. i then notices that when i keep the rca cables plugged in without the ground wire on the hu. the hu still stays on. i pulled out the hu and hooked it up to the same power and ground as the amp right at the amp! still when the ground to the hu is not on anything but the rcas are plugged in the hu will turn on and give the noise to the speakers. when i put the ground on to the hu it gets even worse. i ran rca cables to another car of mine that is plugged into the 4ch amp and the amp works great! then i plug them back into the problem vehicle and it comes back. can anyone give me an explaination or a fix for this please i need one right away!!

This is the best i can do.

I would personally remove the whole system and bench test everything. If everything works good then reinstall the system 1 peice at a time. Till the Problem reappears.

I'm almost positive the headunit has a shorted out ground and its now using the Ground through the RCA's into the amp(s) causing the problems you're experiencing.

Also, Please try not to post multipul topics in a row. I understand that its urgent to you but 1 post is enough. [Wink]
