wierd, maybe you have abad spot on one of the coils ofyour tweeters? have you tryed swappping them out

a few installs i had the same prob. turned out that the external x-overs were defective, swapped em' out, prrob solved.only thing is, convicincing the retail store that was it,its not always the case, it did solve the problem.good luck

A lot od speakers have a "Poly Switch" which is a tweetr protection component that looks like a small cap. the Poly Switch opens the circuit to the tweeter when the voltage is too high. You can easily bypass it by connecting the 2 leads to it.
