I started installing a set of Street Glow Gold Series Undercar Neons tonite, but didn't finish all the way. No instructions were included and i was told just to wire the bulbs in series to and from the transformer. I did all of this and before i quit for the nite (before wiring the switch or anything) i touched the red power wire to my battery and nothing happened. Shouldn't that turn the neons on? Did i, somewhere, screw something up? Please help me out.

Hey Big Al! I think I figured out the problem! See, you spent money on the wrong thing! Instead of buying neon for your hoopty, you should have bought an amp or two and a CD player so you can get that Jugg up and running! Where is your head? Which is going to put up the bigger number @ the Indy show next Sunday, the neon, or some mega Juggernaut BASS!? :^)

Adrian - i ordered these neons about a week ago because i just couldn't resist the great deal that i got. I think that i am going to go ahead and order the CDA-7840 this afternoon, so that takes care of the cd player problem. I tried calling Nasser at Audiobahn yesterday, but he was already on a phone call, so i will try him again in about an hour or so. That will, hopefully, take care of the amp and sub problem. I think Steph needs a 15" Jugg in her car!!!

Make sure your transformer is grounded on a nice flat surface to bare metal(firewall or inner fender is generally easiest. Next, check all of your connections between tubes and to the transformer(I solder and heat shrink mine, but you can also butt connect and seal it though not as reliable...). If those are good as well you most likely have a bad transformer. Easist way to check is to hook up each individual tube to the transformer. If none light then your transformer is bad, if some do then you have a broken tube(or tubes...). Hope this helps.

Thanks groundbound2 - it wasn't working because i didn't have a good enough ground for the transformer. All is working great now. Adrian - Steph needs a little bit of "bulk" in her life!!!
