ok I've tapped a high/low converter off of the back speack wires. then I ran the low signal to the amp (power ackoustick g840-2). I then ran the ampped signal to my subs (2 MA audio DXI 12'). The subs have DVC. so on each of the subs I connected each of the + inputs together and each of the - inputse together with a wire. Then the amped signal gets run to the inpu. the remote signal from my amp is hooked up to the ingnition wire that run's to my HU. My problem is that my SQ isn't that good. Also, if my gains are tuned too high I get HORRIBLE feedback when I turn off my headunit. The feedback is that my subs play a bass note at like max volume. The only problem is that they are supposed to be off cuz my hu is turned off. What is the problem? I don't have a power antenna so the remoter wire is fine on the ignition wire right? What about the way I wired the subs? I dunno. PLease HELP!!!! Thanks in advance.

You need to pick up a part like the peripheral LVT(low volt trigger) or something similar. It watches for signal on the speaker wires to turn the amp on and off, so when the deck is switched off, the amp will turn off also.
Its a fiarly common occurance with line level adapters and factory head units.

Thanks a lot. I was worried that I was gonna have to rip out the install and start again or something drastic! So this is a fairly common occurance? Does anyone know the reason for it happening? I was trying to figure it out myself but I can't think of anything. Also, will there still be a *pop* from my subs once I install the lcv or does it eliminate that too? Once again, thanks a lot.
