I havea Kenwood eXceleon headunit (the one with the safety device that roates the face-plate 180 degrees to hide it). Any ways, my speaker wire that powers my subs and amps and stuff go from my battery to the amp so on and then to the headunit. I dont know where it goes in on the headunit. There are two disconnected wires (blue/white and a orange one. Also all my wires and fuses are hooked up and my headunit will not power on. Any suggestions?? IS there a reset?? All help needed!!

First off, did yo say you're using speaker wire to power your amps!? You need at the very least 8 or 10 ga wire to power amps (or thicker depending on their size). As for your headunit, the blue wire is a remote turn on lead and should connect to the "remote" input terminal on your amp - if the deck has a blue wire with a white stripe as well, use this instead. The orange wire is the illumination/dimmer wire - just leave this disconnected. As long as your head unit has 12v at the red and yellow wires, and a good ground to the black wire it should power up. Check these wires with a meter, and check all the fuses. If they re readign correctly try puchign in the upper left-hand corner of the face plate, which serves as the on switch when the face is flipped over.

I have the X-858 which is stealth also. I would have to go with auto on this. What is the setting for how many times you push the left corner of the deck to get opened. is that the problem or the security code? It could be just the fuse also.
Do you have the manual still??

Good Luck

One thing i did not mention is that there is a reset but you must cut the power. This is for theft reasons. Once power is interupted you will have to put your personal code in order for it to open.
