I have a 2001 vw jetta w/monsoon system .There is a pioneer head unit in it ,along with 2 12's and a amp .The problem is when the bass hits, the door speakers distort .If i turn the subs off and turn the radio up the speakers sound fine , untill i turn the subs back on then the speakers in the doors distort again .Any one have an idea of what could be causing this? Thanks for any info .

Ok, I figured it out . I did 2 more cars and had the same problem . I am using a pioneer head with 4 volts out , and a memphis pr 500d .So anyway , if i change out the head to another manufacture , or the amp out to another size ( still saying with memphis ). The distortion goes away .I called memphis and pioneer , both say they have heard of this problem ,neither said it was the other products fault .They said to use a line driver ,or a special noise filter .I swapped out the 500d ,and it was all good. Now just have to decied what i am going to do for the other guys . Thanks for all the replys .
