Any of you guys tried out a DD 2012 yet I am considering buying a pair I want really high SQ and low bass from a smallish ported enclosure SPL is not really what I m after but If thats what they give I'll take some. They will be run of an Ultimate UHC4 amp (2x240wrms@4ohm) as I said SPL is not my goal so I don't want to buy another amp, I just want to get the best out of what I've got.

build quality on DD subs is excellent. i own a pair of 3515's and have seen the 9515's multiple times. all the subs are high quality, i haven't heard of hardly any problems with any of the subs. i heard that the 2000 series are more for SQ than SPL, hence most people here have more experience with the 3500 series and up.
but...i can vouch that you won't be disappointed with the quality, as for how they sound...if they're ANYTHING like the 3515's, they'll sound tight, play low, and get decently loud.

G 1 T just about, but they would like it more if you gave em 600+. have you seen the special offer on the dei1100d???
if you stuck for amps then go for one dd3512/dd3510 or two dd2000 10 or 12.
these subs are probably the best built subs i have come across, i have never had any sub fail on me or break when pushed to its limits. Its like the Porsche 911 of subs well built, well strong and will last forever!

Like I said I don't want to go crazy so another amp is a bit much, for my budget 2x240wrms is fine for me I not gonna use it for comp's or nothing just daily driving. I just like to make the most out of my amps which is why the 3512 were mentioned because they are dvc which would allow me to run the amp at 2ohm. would one 3512 be louder then two 2012.

G T T How much space have you got??? if you got around 3cuft i would go for 1 3512 in a ported box. If you have more, 5+ then for for two dd2012s.
The one dd3512 ported will be louder then the two dd2012's sealed. But two dd2012's ported would probably be louder then one dd3512 ported using the same power. All depends on how much space you have.
DEI offer was in the UK, £350($480) for a NEW DEI1100D.

The set-up that you described - low bass in small ported box with few watts--- An IDQ fits that bill. It maintains great SQ and can get REALLY loud for what it is. Just a suggestion.
