will win in spl?????? I know the shockers will make numbers but I haven't gotten a chance to test the RE's in the same setup, which sub will be louder, they would be in about 4 cubes per driver, whatever port tuned to around 45 hz, 1 jbl 1200.1 on each!! in my hatch of my 01 ford focus!!

who knows its pretty much a toss up. except for the 150 dollar price difference and the fact that the RE can handle tons and tons more power than a shocker.

Its basically like this. Obviously Im biased tword Shocker. But if I never heard of either comany before. I would look at a few things.

How Many Titles/Trophie/Records does Shocker Have

How Many Titles/Trophie/Records does RE Have.

Im just sick of people saying that the RE can do this and do that, becuase its all hypothetical comments. The world has yet to see any numbers from RE at all.

Just something to think about.

Ben

Well shockers have a much smaller gap, and about the same moving mass...so they will probobly be louder...

As for the RE's handling more power I have serious doubts as to the turth in that...I would love to see the RE take a D2 (at 1ohm)for 5 minutes with no damage to the woofer...

Hey ShockingCanada, before i sold me RE 12HC a couple days ago i was running it at 1 ohm off my modified 2k1 D2 for daily driving with no problems whatsoever. I just sold my 12" Xtreme the other day too. They were both loud as hell and equal in my book. Now my 15" Super Xtreme, now thats a different story.

About the RE handling more power. You have to look as stated above the RE has a LArger gap. So it seems this would help in cooling of the coil with more air moving in and out of the gap. But this also affect the Avaliable Output because of the gap diffrences. Just from talking with Mike and Folks from RE same install same power same car the Shocker Should be a Bit louder.
